I found my old Compost Corner t-shirt. Sadly it no longer fits.

Humbug to humbug!

I got a real kick out of doing a “reformed Scrooge” thing this morning… I phoned the council up, asked for the lift people and got the usual sound of shoulders slumping as the guy answered the phone. I said, “I live in one of your blocks of flats and… I’d like to say thanks very much for fixing our lift so quickly – I was worried it wouldn’t be done before Christmas, and we’ve got a baby and lots of luggage. Don’t suppose people thank you very often do they?” The lift guy said, “Blimey – that’s really made my day. Thank you very much!”

Now I am a _big_ complainer – right pain in the council’s arse – so I felt like Mr Scrooge doubling Bob’s salary. 🙂 I think I might do that again!!
